When I was a kid, my father complained about his bosses not wanting to implement a new technology. It did not make sense to me so I ask my dad about the reason why; he told me "because everything works the way it is...until it breaks". I did not understand fully back then, but now I do.
From an early age I was always curious about finding ways to make things easier and better. "Just because something works it does not mean it cannot be better". This is what drove me to study Engineering, travel to Norway to get a Masters in System Dynamics, and eventually become a consultant. I have now spent more than 12 years working toward finding the best ways for companies to adopt new technologies (or in some cases at least upgrade to 10-year old technologies). I have worked for Deloitte (In Mexico and Norway), Accenture, and now Sopra Steria.
My first projects focused simply on getting companies to use Excel to automate simple processes. These small successes allowed me to "graduate" to designing and implementing Machine Learning solutions for multinational companies. Eventually, the effectiveness of "AI" led to wide-spread adoption, and I know advise senior leadership on the best way to create enterprise value through new technologies.
